Birds of a Feather

A meditation on movement, instinct, and the quiet beauty of birds.

Formed from a mix of stoneware clays porcelain, built slowly by hand, Birds of a Feather explores the quiet poetry of the avian world.. its diversity, grace, and constant dialogue between air and earth.

The collection began during a period living in Mismaloya, where the jungle met the sea and the air was alive with bird activity. From the treetops outside my window came endless encounters - sea birds, jungle birds, messengers of movement and sound. These sculptures emerged in response… vessels shaped by instinct rather than plan.

Each piece carries its own rhythm and character.. raw or refined, dark or pale, textured or smooth. Together they suggest a kind of flock: varied, unpredictable, yet bound by the same invisible current.
