Vessel 1
 
A sculptural trilogy of lidded vessels, the Spine Keeper Queens bring together presence, detail, and form. Each is entirely hand-built from coils in high-fired earthenware, finished with a porcelain patina that softens the surface while revealing the clay beneath. The result is a refined interplay of texture and tone, strength and sensitivity, ancient in feeling yet contemporary in design.
 
These vessels carry spine-like ridges that echo both bone and textile. Their crowns recall ceremonial headdresses, giving each piece a sense of quiet authority. Shown together, they form a powerful trinity: abundant, resonant, and refined.
 
Vessel 1 – Full-Bodied Queen
The most commanding of the three. Rounded and layered, her surface reads as both structural and decorative, while the looping crown rises like a woven form. A statement piece that anchors a room.
 
Vessel 2 – Vibrating Queen
Elaborate and rhythmic, her form feels alive with movement. Raised textures and an outward-flaring crown create the sense of vibration, as though the vessel resonates with energy.
 
Vessel 3 – Refined Queen
The most understated of the series. Smaller in scale, with a more minimal crown and a quieter surface, she is balanced and contemplative — subtle yet unmistakably regal.
